6 months

Logan had his 6 month check-up about 2 weeks ago. He weighed 16 lbs 7.5oz (50th percentile) and was 27 and 3/4 inches log (90-95 percentile). He has started solid foods and loves them! He has eaten cereal, peas, green beans, and avacados so far. Oh, and he loves it when I dab his teething toys on a lime. Wierd! He has two bottom teeth that broke through just before he turned 5 months. He is easily distracted so feeding him isn't always the easiest task. He holds his mouth wide open, it just isnt always easy chasing his mouth down before he looks somewhere else. I say he already has ADD. He hates to sit still and always wants to stand. If he is fussy most of the time you can let him stand up and hold his hands to let him walk around and he is good to go. With the help of Grandma he is successfully sleeping in his crib and is no longer swaddled. We still use the swing for naps sometimes but it is not his main sleeping place anymore. Woohoo! He sleeps anywhere from 8 to 10 hours at night now which is great! He is starting to immitate sounds that we make. He loves to blow raspberries and for some reason he loves to make a grunting noise At first we thought he was pooping but he does it frequently and will copy you if you do it to him. He has starting throwing toys and gets mad when he drops a toy that he can't reach anymore. He laughs uncontrolably when you tickle him when plaing peek-a-boo or when you poke his belly in the bath tub. He is definitely evolving from an infant to a little person. Logan has been to lots of football games this year. We go to watch my kids from school or my brother's team. He likes to be outside and see all the people. He still shows little interest in crawling. He is starting toget frustrated that he can not get around the way he wants to. He just wants to walk. Forget this crawling business. We went to Target and took some 6th month pictures. They turned out awesome. I dont have them to post, but hopefully soon. We are looking forward to Logan's first Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas! I love the fall and the holidays so I am hoping he will learn to love them too.

This is one of Logan's first experiences with cereal. At first he was more interested in the spoon than the food.
